|The T.M.WORKS Ignite MSI is dedicated to direct ignition system (coil on plug) use in most modern
Its function is to produce up to 3 sparks per compression stroke depends on engine RPM.
This multi spark ignition concept is adopted from Mercedes Benz multi spark system widely used in their M278 engines.
The conventional multi ignition system used in CDI ignition system was
a good mechanism providing smooth and responsive engine performance from
low to high RPM range.
However, this conventional system is not as practical and the cost is high as specific multi spark modules or specific ignition coils are needed to complete the system.
This is also making installation almost impossible due to the space of the engine compartment for modern vehicles.

※ For semi direct ignition where the configuration of the ignition coils are used in only 2 cylinders and the other 2 cylinders will be connected using spark plug cord. For example Suzuki Swift etc.
※ For igniterless ignition where the ignition coil itself does not has
a built in igniter and the igniter is from the
ECU. For example BMW, Peugeot, Citroen, Mini, Fiat, Abarth etc.

Easy plug n play installation for T.M.WORKS Ignite MSI
- With the dedicated harness provided, simply insert the Ignite MSI harness
between the ignition coil and the
ignition coil harness originally from the vehicle.
Once done, connect the Ignite MSI module and prepare yourselves for the
enhancement from the multi spark
- No ignition coil replacement needed.
Our Ignite MSI is RoHS compliant. RoHS is also known as Directive 2002/95/EC, originated in European Union and restricts the use of specific hazardous materials found in electrical and electronic products. Therefore, it is suitable to be used in various countries around the world.
The Ignite MSI harness is also equipped with a connector that can easily
install the Ignite VSD series product
